Dr. Gretchen Marrero Lozada is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Katz Family Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Miami. She earned her medical degree and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Dr. Marrero subsequently completed a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. In addition, she completed the Home Dialysis Scholarship Program offered by the American Society of Nephrology and Home Dialysis University.
Her clinical and research interests include health disparities in kidney disease, home dialysis modalities, glomerulonephritis, and onconephrology. Being fluent in both Spanish and English enables her to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population and provide culturally competent care to underserved communities.
