Biography
Dr. Gordon Perue is an assistant professor of vascular neurology at and serves as Chief of neurology and Director of the stroke program at Jackson South and Jackson West Medical Centers. She received her MD from the University of the West Indies. She did her Neurology residency and Vascular Neurology fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center.She serves as the US liaison to the Caribbean for the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN)’s global campaign to improve access to Mechanical Thrombectomy (MT2020+) where she partners with hospitals and physicians in the Caribbean to improve access to stroke care. She is a member of the University of Miami, Department of Neurology Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-racism and Social Justice (IDEAS) committee.

Dr. Gordon Perue serves as a Co-Investigator in the Education and Training Core at the University of Miami Florida Stroke Registry and for the Florida Department of Health Coverdell grant and focuses on preventative stroke care.

Her research focuses on reducing disparities in post stroke care and hypertension.
