Gerald Soff, M.D., is a Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is a board-certified hematologist specializing in the management and study of non-neoplastic hematologic disorders, including thrombosis, blood coagulation, and disorders of red cells and platelets.
Dr. Soff earned his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Medical College of Virginia and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.
Throughout his career, Dr. Soff has held several leadership roles, including serving as Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and as Chief of the Hematology Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). He currently serves as the Chief of the Classical Hematology Service at the University of Miami Health System/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
