Biography
Dr. Flávia Fairbanks Ruano, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. With a career spanning over two decades, she specializes in female sexual health, hormones, menopause, and complex benign gynecological conditions like endometriosis, adenomyosis, and fibroids. Dr. Fairbanks Ruano is currently the Director of the Female Sexual Health Program at UHealth Jackson System. Her academic contributions include leading roles in scientific societies, such as the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and frequent lecturing at international conferences on women's health. Dr. Fairbanks’ clinical research and practice focus on advancing sexual health care for women and menopause, from reproductive years to post-menopause. She has published several scientific papers addressing endometriosis, female sexual dysfunction, and menopause; she’s currently leading the Menopause Care Program in Doral Commons UHealth Clinic. -
