Teaching Interests
My current position allows me to pursue my passion for training and educating medical students and young physicians. My current position as Program Director of the pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship program has resulted in significant and positive changes in the medical education for our fellows and has brought a renewed interest in pursuing this subspecialty training among the general pediatric trainees.
Through an ongoing educational grant, starting in 2018, I have also expanded my educational efforts to Latin America, teaching physicians in less advanced countries to bring improved care to patients with von Willebrand disease and other congenital bleeding disorders. -
