  I am a basic research scientist with more than 23 years of experience in the study of stress response and cancer. My lab is focused on protein posttranslational arginylation, which is a underexplored topic. We are particularly interested in how protein arginylaiton is involved in regulating stress response in the progression of prostate cancer and other diseases. We found arginylation affects cell cycle checkpoint, cell survival/death, DNA mutagenesis, metabolism and mitochondrial activity, and oxygen sensing.
