She completed both medical school and Otolaryngology residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her surgical training with a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery, Microvascular Reconstruction, and Transoral Robotic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Kaye is an academic head and neck surgeon and has several research interests pertaining to head and neck cancer. She has authored and co-authored numerous publications related to nerve invasion in advanced skin cancer, biomarker analysis in oral cavity, sinonasal, and oropharyngeal cancer, and education and patient satisfaction after head and neck screenings. Her current research goals include creating a head and neck tumor bank to analyze mechanisms of perineural invasion and collaborating with the Sylvester Cancer Cancer to instigate a head and neck cancer survivorship program to identify therapies that may improve quality of life for cancer patients through treatment, recovery, and beyond.
Dr. Kaye is eager to apply clinical, research, and mentorship skills to her future academic career as an ablative and reconstructive head and neck surgeon. Her areas of expertise include benign and malignant masses in the head and neck including mouth, throat, larynx, nasal cavity, sinuses, neck, skull base, and parapharyngeal space, salivary gland pathology, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, advanced head and neck skin cancer surgery including sentinel lymph node biopsy, complex reconstruction including microvascular techniques, transoral robotic surgery, and surgery for Zenker's diverticulum, among others. -

Research Interests
Dr. Kaye is an academic head and neck surgeon who is actively involved in clinical and translational cancer research. She is developing a head and neck tumor bank to study molecular and cellular mechanisms of perineural invasion in cutaneous head and neck cancer. Her long-term goal is to understand the pathogenesis of perineural invasion and identify target-directed treatments that may improve survival. In collaboration with the Sylvester Cancer Cancer, she is developing a head and neck cancer survivorship program that aims to improve quality of life for cancer patients from time of diagnosis through recovery. She also conducts clinical research to identify potential therapies that may enhance patients’ well-being. -
