Dr. Ryon did medical school and general surgery residency at University of Miami. She did her trauma and surgical critical care fellowship at Ryder Trauma Center. She lives in Miami with her husband and two children.

Teaching Interests
Dr. Ryon is a proponent of hands-on training with tissue models and simulation, as well as active participation by trainees in the operating room. She helped create the general surgery problem-based learning curriculum for medical students and enjoys mentoring and teaching students and residents.
