Biography
Dr. Drevyn received her MSPT degree from the University of Miami in 1989 and her DPT from Northeastern University in 2010. After receiving her master’s degree, she moved to CO and from there to the mountains of NC.
Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, outpatient, and home health. However, she dedicated many years to pediatrics and specifically to early intervention. Upon returning to Miami, she joined the University of Miami Faculty in 2006.
Dr. Drevyn is currently the Vice Chair of Clinical Education and Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Physical Therapy. Clinical Education has been her focus and area of scholarly interest for many years. She is very involved in Physical Therapy professional organizations at a regional, state, and national level. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA), and the Membership Committee for the FPTA. She has also served as the Secretary of the APTA, Academy of Physical Therapy Education, Clinical Education SIG, and is an APTA credentialed trainer for the Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program, as well as a certified Clinical Director of the FunFitness component of the Special Olympics. She was recently elected to the University's Faculty Senate and is involved in DEI and other service activities at a local and regional level. -
