Dr. Rodriguez applies implementation science, social network, and qualitative approaches to address health disparities experienced by underserved and vulnerable populations. She utilizes community-based participatory research approaches to ensure that community needs and priorities remain central to her work. Since 2018, her research has targeted public health crises, including the ongoing syndemic of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), substance misuse, violence, and mental health conditions. Her current research focuses on developing and implementing strategies to address the mental and sexual health needs of populations throughout South Florida.
