Dr. Rodriguez applies implementation science, social network, and qualitative methods to address health disparities affecting underserved and vulnerable populations. She uses community-based participatory research approaches to ensure that community needs and priorities remain central to her work.
Since 2018, her research has focused on major public health challenges, including the syndemic of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), substance misuse, violence, and mental health conditions. Her current work centers on developing and implementing strategies to improve mental and sexual health outcomes among populations across South Florida.
