  Born in China and got my MD degree from Wannan Medical College in 1987, my MS degree from Zhejiang University in 1992 and my Ph.D. degree from Shiga University of Medical Science Japan in 2003. I practiced two years as a surgeon and many years as a pathologist in China.
  
  I have been involved in the research on the tumors of gastrointestinal tract and digestive system for more than 20 years in China, Japan and USA. I have published more than 70 publications and presented in many national and international scientific meetings.
  
  My goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis and find the novel therapeutic strategies to treat them.

• Teaching Interests

  Teach and train postdoc fellow, medical students, new lab members about the molecular knowledge, experimental design, execution, technologies and skills, trouble shooting and manuscript writing, etc.

• Research Interests

  I have strong interest in the research on the tumors of gastrointestinal tract and digestive system and have been working on this field for many years. My current research is to investigate the regulatory mechanisms and molecular functions of several molecular targets such as NRF2, NEK2 in esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC), and to explore targeting them using specific inhibitors as a therapeutic approach.
  
  The approaches used in our lab include 2D and 3D cultures (organotypic 3D culture, 3D organoids), and in vivo transgenic mice models, xenografting mice models and patients-derived xenografts. In addition to traditional molecular technologies, we apply cut-edge technologies, such as RNA-seq, CHIP-seq, single cell RNA-seq, Seahorse metabolism analyses.
