  • Teaching Interests

I teach our neurology residents the influence of sleep disorders and sleep health on neurological trajectories of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS, epilepsy and stroke.
  • Research Interests

My research interests include the consequences and treatment of the comorbidity of insomnia among people with obstructive sleep apnea (COMISA), sleep health disparities, and interventions to improve adherence to therapies for insomnia (i.e., cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia) and sleep apnea (positive airway pressure). As a full-time VA physician, I am also interested in psychosocial comorbidities interfering with sleep unique to US military veteran populations like comorbid post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.
