Biography
Dorothea Martinez, DO is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital. She also serves as a Staff Anesthesiologist at the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Martinez graduated from the Ohio University of College of Osteopathic Medicine and conducted her post graduate training at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. She also conducted a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital for which she is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
Dr. Martinez is heavily involved in teaching medical students, residents, fellows and colleagues as a MOCA instructor since 2016. She has participated in ASRA (American society of regional anesthesia) simulation training for upper extremity, lower extremity, and truncal regional nerve blocks since 2017.
Her interests include simulation, yoga, traveling and cooking. -
