Dr. Domenika A. Ortiz Requena, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she also serves as the Associate Program Director of the Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela before completing her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She went on to pursue advanced subspecialty training through fellowships in Gastrointestinal Pathology and Surgical Pathology focus on Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology at the same institution. Dr. Ortiz is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
