Biography
Dr. Isrow joined the University of Miami Department of Radiation Oncology faculty in 2018 where he is clinically focused on treating both pediatric and lymphoma patients as well as gastrointestinal and breast cancer patients. He is trained in state-of-the-art radiation therapy techniques including proton therapy, MRI-guided radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and intensity modulated radiation therapy amongst several others. His research interests are mostly basic science related and involve improving tumor response to radiation therapy using various nanotechnologies and metabolic drugs. He also has built and maintains the pediatric research database which is currently looking into educational outcomes for children who underwent long courses of chemotherapy and radiation. He is heavily involved with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he serves as a Lead Clinical Educator and teaches medical students various aspects of medicine, ethics, and professionalism. He attended college at Emory University in Atlanta where he received his Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. He matriculated to the University of Miami in 2004 where he began his PhD in organometallic chemistry. He then went on to enroll in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2008 and graduated in 2013 with his MD PhD focusing on oncologic diseases. He then completed a transitional internship at St Joseph Hospital in Chicago in 2014 which included medical, surgical, and intensive care training. This was followed by residency in Radiation Oncology at the historic Henry Ford Hospital in 2018 where he served as chief resident. He received several honors and awards during this time for his novel research in radiosensitization and clinical outcomes. Dr. Isrow is a South Florida native who enjoys cooking, woodworking, and all outdoor activities with his wife, two young daughters, and a pair of very overweight golden retrievers. -

Teaching Interests
Interested in all levels of education from undergraduate to medical school, as well as graduate education of residents and fellows. Primarily focused on cancer biology and therapy, radiation oncology, medical physics, and radiation biology. -
Research Interests
Nanomaterial Radiosensitization, metabolic modification of cancerous diseases, pediatric cancer outcome review, hematologic malignancy outcome review, clinical trial design and implementation. -
