Biography
Dr. Claudia G. Aguilar Velez is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Miami, where she also completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric pulmonology. Board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology, she specializes in the comprehensive management of patients with cystic fibrosis (CF), focusing on the use of modulator therapies, managing CF-related complications, and optimizing patient outcomes through a multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Aguilar Velez is a key leader in her field, serving as the Pediatric Director for the Therapeutics Development Network (TDN) and the pulmonary leader of the Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Collaborative at the University of Miami. Dedicated to community health, she also heads the Asthma Mobile Clinic, bringing vital care to underserved populations. Through her clinical leadership and community involvement, Dr. Aguilar Velez is committed to advancing pediatric respiratory care and improving the lives of her young patients. -
