  Dr. Vitolo received his bachelor's degree from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in 1999. After a brief stint working in the retail industry, Dr. Vitolo received his doctoral degree in physical therapy (DPT) from the University of Miami in 2008. After graduating, Dr. Vitolo joined the University of Miami Department of Physical Therapy as clinical faculty (Assistant Professor).
  
  Dr. Vitolo serves as the Assistant Vice Chair for Clinical Services, overseeing UHealth Tower's inpatient and outpatient physical and occupational therapy services, the hand therapy service, and the Plantation satellite location.

• Teaching Interests

  Dr. Vitolo assists in the clinical neurology courses, and in the capstone clinical reasoning course in the Department of Physical Therapy.

  Dr. Vitolo has been involved in research investigating the effects of physical therapy intervention on balance, gait, and functional mobility in patients with Multiple Sclerosis and ALS.
