Dr. Naranjo completed his undergraduate education at Florida International University and obtained his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Broward Health Medical Center in 2022, during which he served as the academic chief resident. He went on to complete his nephrology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2024 and served as chief fellow. During his time as a fellow, he completed the inaugural Home Dialysis Scholarship Program offered by the American Society of Nephrology and Home Dialysis University, reflecting his dedication to enhancing patient care through innovative, home-based therapies. He is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine.
Dr. Naranjo joined the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in 2024, serving in the Katz Family Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. He has particular interest in the management of patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and serves as the Clinic Director of the ADPKD clinic, which has been designated as a Center of Excellence by the PKD Foundation. He also holds interest in the clinical application of point-of-care ultrasound and is engaged in developing curriculum to help nephrology fellows realize the potential of this tool at the bedside. His commitment to medical education earned him the Faculty of the Year award during the 2024-2025 academic year.
