I was born in Miami Beach and spent most of my elementary school years in New York and New Jersey. I returned when I was 12 years old to Miami and have never left. I married my high-school sweetheart and we have 4 children. We have been married for 26 years and have been together for 33 years. He has a thriving dental practice across the street from UM, in Coral Gables. I am a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and he graduated from Belen. We both attended UM and I have continued at UM ever since- Med School and all my years in practice. My oldest daughter will begin at UM Med this Fall- I am very proud of her. She has blessed us with our first granddaughter, which has been simply amazing! I have 2 sons at UM undergrad and one at LMU in Los Angeles. Family and my vocation in Pediatrics has kept me busy. We love to travel and try and be as active as we can- hiking and biking and boating, when we can. I love to read and draw, but wish I had more time to commit to these hobbies. I have been active in my Catholic faith community at Church of the Little Flower and have been able to participate in numerous Medical Missions over the last 12 years. I keep trying to use the gifts that I have been blessed with to improve my little area of the world and everyone that I meet.
