Dr. Parker, a dedicated Trauma Intensivist, brings expertise to the field with a particular focus on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), ultrasound, and prehospital/disaster medicine. He attended residency and fellowship at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma program. Dr. Parker holds board certifications in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care from the American College of Surgeons.
During his training, Dr. Parker garnered multiple awards for clinical excellence and for embodying the core values of the Shock Trauma program. His commitment to excellence extended to additional training in ECMO during his fellowship.
Dr. Parker joined the faculty at the University of Miami in 2019, where he has continued his dedication to caring for critically ill and injured patients. Moreover, he is involved in education and mentorship to the next generation of clinicians.
Notably, Dr. Parker's expertise extends beyond hospital walls as a Medical Team Manager for FEMA's Florida Task Force 2 Urban Search and Rescue team, where he leads medical teams responses to disaster situations.
