Ariana Johnson, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences. Dr. Johnson is an epidemiologist with a passion for disease prevention. Her research focuses on how the intersection of implementation science, social networks, and machine learning impacts health disparities particularly as it relates to HIV prevention and treatment. Drawing inspiration from her experiences working with minoritized populations, Dr. Johnson brings a unique perspective to her research endeavors. Her dedication to unraveling the intricate connections between implementation science, social networks, and machine learning is driven by a mission to address health disparities.
Dr. Johnson’s current research examines Syndemic factors among sexual minority men (SMM) and the way in which these Syndemic factors interact and impact the adoption of HIV prevention behaviors.
