Ariana Johnson, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is an epidemiologist whose research focuses on disease prevention.
Dr. Johnson’s work examines how implementation science, social networks, and machine learning intersect to influence health disparities, with a focus on HIV prevention and treatment. Her research draws on experience working with minoritized populations to better understand inequities in health outcomes.
Her current work investigates syndemic factors among sexual minority men and how these factors interact to influence the adoption of HIV prevention behaviors.
