Antonio J. Suarez, M.D., is a board-certified Family Medicine specialist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Dr Suarez started his career in a federally qualified community health center providing preventive care for underserved adult and pediatric patients. From there, he joined the University of Miami and ever since has been active in both a clinical and educational role teaching our medical students and resident physicians in Family Medicine. He will be celebrating his 10-year work anniversary this year at the University of Miami.
Dr. Suarez' clinical interests include general preventive medicine, adolescent health, obesity and the management of chronic medical conditions. He is passionate about his vocation of providing care to his patients. He is a native of Miami and graduated from Belen Jesuit Prep high school.
Dr. Suarez completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital. During his residency, he served as Chief Resident and received the Chairman's Award for outstanding academic performance and leadership.
He currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Miller School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and as the Medical Director for Family Medicine Physicians at UHealth Kendall and UHealth at Walgreens.
