Biography
Dr. Anthony R. Hogan was born and raised in Canonsburg, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh. He came to Florida as an undergraduate at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Dr. Hogan went on to graduate from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL and completed his general surgery training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, FL. During his residency, he spent two years conducting basic science research at the University of Miami Diabetes Research Institute. After residency, he completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, IL. -

Teaching Interests
Dr. Hogan enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows and enjoys learning from them as well. He also learns from his colleagues in pediatric surgery and is very privileged to be learning every day from the babies and children under his care. -
Research Interests
Dr. Hogan continues to develop his research interests as he cares and learns from his patients. Along with his colleagues, he looks to develop a pediatric surgery basic science laboratory to study necrotizing enterocolitis and other pediatric surgical diseases. He plans to continue surgical outcomes research with his friends in the division as well as to continue his collaboration with his colleagues at the Diabetes Research Institute. -
