Biography
Dr. Buré was born in the Dominican Republic and relocated to Puerto Rico with her family at the age of 14. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR-Rio Piedras) and completed a master’s degree in general psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). Subsequently, she moved to Florida to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Her pre-doctoral internship training took place at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)/Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center Consortium. Following the completion of her fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in August 2018, she joined the Division of Neuropsychology as a faculty member, contributing to the expansion of neuropsychological clinical services at UHealth Boca Raton. -

Research Interests
Dr. Buré's research interest includes understanding the influence of cultural factors and educational attainment on neuropsychological test performance. She has been involved in multiple ongoing research projects that include frailty and cognition, evaluation and intervention of cognitive impairment in multiple sclerosis, and mood and cognitive decline in PD. -
