Teaching Interests
I currently train Pediatric Critical Care Fellows in all clinical aspects of pediatric intensive care. I have developed a curriculum for Pediatric Critical Care Fellows on Palliative Care Topics that are pertinent to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I assist in the education of Medical Students and Pediatric Residents both in their Pediatric Critical Care Rotations as well as Pediatric Palliative Care Rotations. I strive to educate all levels of learners on my team and encourage them to always consider the perspective of the patient and family and integrate this into their medical decision making. -
Research Interests
I am currently pursuing research projects in Pediatric Delirium in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, as well as several Quality Improvement projects related to Pediatric Palliative Care. I have recently completed projects related to education in Palliative Care and Narrative Medicine. My interests revolve around the intersection of Pediatric Palliative Care and Pediatric Critical Care and how we can better support children and families who experience chronic and critical illness. -
