Dr. Alejandro D. Chediak is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a distinguished expert in sleep disorders medicine with nearly four decades of experience. He currently serves as Associate Chief of Clinical Affairs in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and as the Chief Medical Officer for the Department of Medicine at the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami. Dr. Chediak earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Chediak has made significant contributions to the field of sleep medicine, including serving as the President of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and, for two decades, representing organized sleep medicine in the American Medical Association House of Delegates. His clinical expertise and research focus on the pathophysiology and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing.
