Adriana Dejman is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Katz Family Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Miami. Dr. Dejman received her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela – Escuela Jose Maria Vargas in 2010. She completed her internship, residency, and nephrology clinical fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and Veterans Affairs Medical Center and joined the University of Miami School of Medicine faculty in 2017. She also received an International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis scholarship grant to fund a 3-month advanced peritoneal dialysis training at the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2017. Her clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease and dialysis (in-center, home and peritoneal dialysis). She has spearheaded the home dialysis program at UM, which is now the largest peritoneal dialysis program in South Florida. Her research interests include peritoneal dialysis, ultrafiltration failure and urgent-start PD.
