  Prior to joining the faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine on July 1, 1989, I trained as a resident in Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) from July 1, 1986 until June 30, 1989. From July 1, 1985 until June 30, 1986, I served as a General Practitioner in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. From July 1, 1983 until June 30, 1985, I served as a General Practitioner in the Public Health Service in Liberty City, FL. From June 23, 1982 until June 22, 1983, I trained as a medical intern in the Department of Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital. From September 1, 1978 until May 29, 1982, I was a medial student at the University of Florida College of Medicine (Gainesville, FL).

  I participate in the teaching and training of the residents in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Residency Program. I also serve as a mentor for selected medical students at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine who are interested in pursuing research in and carrier choice of Radiation Oncology.

  My clinical research interests include not only gynecologic cancers but also gastro-intestinal cancers, soft tissue sarcomas, and both benign and malignant diseases of the skin.
