Thank you for your interest in the Miller School of Medicine and The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology. Our mission is to provide state of the art, safe and compassionate care to our patients while we train the next generation of innovators and leaders.
As one of the largest and highest volume Interventional Radiology (IR) departments in the country and a premier academic institution in South Florida, we offer a full spectrum of IR clinical procedures, training and research while serving over 21,000 patients a year. We work with a wide range of specialists across campus – from Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary, Radiation Oncology, Urology as well as Orthopedics to provide excellent multidisciplinary care. Inclusion and diversity are at the heart of our core values. Our physicians are recognized both nationally and internationally, ranging from a diverse global community. The team combines their unique expertise to provide cutting edge clinical care and research. Our department has participated in breakthrough studies in many areas including being a leader in Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE). Our center is the busiest and largest program for PAE.
Our department encompasses core subdivisions which include Interventional Oncology, Portal Hypertension, Men and Women’s Health, Interventional Spine and Vascular Disease. Through these diverse service lines, we provide innovative care to University of Miami Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Sylvester Cancer Center, Veteran Affairs Hospital and Lennar Foundation Medical Center.
