The University of Miami Health System along with several local and federal agencies will conduct a full-scale crisis exercise to test various core capabilities of first responders, health system operations and other officials in preparation for a real-life scenario.
WHEN AND WHERE:
Sunday, November 19, 20203 from 5:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
N.W. 12th Avenue and N.W. 14th Street.
NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:
As part of the exercise, the intersection of N.W. 12th Avenue and N.W. 14th Street will be closed from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Access to the UHealth Tower garage and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center will remain open but expect roadblocks in the area. The Metrorail Civic Center station and Metrorail system will remain open and will be operating normal Sunday service.
Crisis simulation props will be placed in that intersection and volunteer role players will be wearing makeup appearing and acting as if they have various injuries, but we repeat, THIS IS ONLY AN EXERCISE.
