Women’s Interventions have continued to evolve within the field of Interventional Radiology over the last two decades. Today, UHealth IR physicians are involved in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive interventions designed specifically to treat a range of pathologies effecting women. Women’s health interventionalists utilize angiography, CT and US to perform minimally invasive therapeutic procedures such as uterine artery embolization for uterine fibroids and adenomyosis as well as ovarian vein and pelvic vein embolization for pelvic congestion and venous stenting.
