Biography
Connie Wu, M.D., is a board-certified glaucoma fellowship trained ophthalmologist specializing in the care of patients with glaucoma and cataracts. She completed the combined BA/MD program in Liberal Medical Education at Brown University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, and received her Doctor of Medicine with a Scholarly Concentration in Aging. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Honor Society for outstanding academic achievement. She completed transitional year training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center at Stanford University followed by ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Wu specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma surgeries and procedures including trabeculectomy surgery, tube shunt surgery, laser cyclophotocoagulation, and a wide range of minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). She aims to foster longstanding partnerships with her patients by developing patient-centric approaches to management of chronic eye conditions. Her academic interests include elucidating glaucoma disease pathogenesis, improving novel surgical techniques and developing therapeutic approaches with an emphasis on personalized care and patient quality of life. Additionally, she has a passion for improving the medical education and surgical training of medical students, residents, and fellows. -
