Conferences

Rheumatology Division

During the first weeks of each Academic year, we offer a series of lectures on the Fundamentals of Rheumatology geared towards our trainees, particularly our new fellows.

These then give way to our regular academic sessions including twice monthly journal clubs, as well as, monthly rheumatology academic rounds, clinicopathologic conference, immunology tutorial conference, rheumatology case presentation conference, interdisciplinary conference, research conference and basic science conference.

The fellows attend and actively participate in the conferences. Together with Dr. Lozada, our program director, they develop the yearly conference schedule. The fellows regularly present at journal club, research conference, rheumatology academic grand rounds and rheumatology case presentation conference, among others.

These conferences are not only invaluable opportunities for learning and for interaction between fellows and faculty, but also provide the opportunity for the fellows to teach rotating and visiting residents and medical students.
