GENIUS (The Global Expertise Network for Industry, Universities, and Scholars) is a searchable database containing profiles of scholars and researchers at leading universities and research institutions throughout the world.  The database can be searched by: free-text within profiles; keywords (as selected from the InfoEd Keyword Thesaurus); research interests (free-text search based on abstracts entered by investigators); and institution, state, or country. Additionally, GENIUS stores all of an individual's Curriculum Vitae (CV) information including: employment; education; courses taught; patents; publications; committee memberships; and research.  CV information within GENIUS can be saved as a Word document, and then modified for hardcopy use.

SMARTS (The SPIN Matching And Research Transmittal Service) is an automated daily alerts system that notifies investigators of relevant new funding opportunities matching their GENIUS profiles. SMARTS saves investigators time and effort, while ensuring they are kept current on the latest programs in their areas of interest, new and approaching deadlines, and sponsor updates. SMARTS sends daily e-mail reports in either Summary or Full Program format.

PROPOSAL TRACKING is a comprehensive system that provides research administrators with a single reference point for entering, tracking, and reporting detailed proposal information.

PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT assists administrators and investigators in all phases of proposal development by providing a browser-based interface for the creation, review and submission of proposal applications.  Investigators develop administrative data and detailed budgets in a single, common format, and then publish the data to transmittal forms and sponsor application forms.  Proposals created can be distributed electronically for institutional review.  Once approved internally, either the proposal can be printed and photocopied or electronically submitted directly to the sponsoring agency.
