UM Pediatric Mobile Clinic Receives $50,000 in Earthquake Relief

The UM Pediatric Mobile Clinic will be able to provide additional care for children who have relocated to South Florida following the devastating January 12 earthquake in Haiti. During a check presentation on June 18 at the Center for Haitian Studies in Miami, McDonald’s and the Ronald McDonald House Charities presented a check for $50,000 to the clinic for its “Urgent Health Needs of Haiti Earthquake Children Survivors Living in South Florida” program.

The mobile clinic provides comprehensive primary health care services free-of-charge to children most in need, specifically those with no access or limited access to health care.
