Dr. Lee Kaplan Leads Sports Medicine Awareness Day at Marlins Park

Lee Kaplan, M.D., professor of orthopaedics and Chief of the Sports Medicine Division, attended Sports Medicine Awareness Day at Marlins Park on Friday, August 23, with patient Matt Rothstein, who threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Throughout the 2013 baseball season, UHealth has participated in a variety of events at the ballpark focusing on UHealth doctors, their patients’ amazing stories and the array of services available.

Joseph Panoff, M.D., assistant professor of radiation oncology, will attend the September 28th game on Children’s Cancer Awareness Day. The following physicians also represented UHealth at Miami Marlins games this season:

08/04/13 – Dr. David Kerman – Digestive Health Awareness Day

08/17/13 – Dr. Ricardo Komotar – Brain Tumor Awareness Day
