The Fine Art of Health Care Series Continues

Studying art can improve your powers of observation. Can it also make you a better health care provider? The Lowe Art Museum on the Coral Gables campus is offering one more session in its three-part series of workshops, “The Fine Art of Health Care,” to help students in health care graduate programs learn the answer.

Participants will learn Visual Thinking Strategies, a method shown to improve important skills needed in all health care professions. Students will have the opportunity to collaboratively look at works of art in detail to hone their observation, listening and communication skills.

The remaining workshop will be held on Thursday, November 5, 4:30 to 7 p.m. Participants will be offered complimentary admission (normally $10) to The Lowe After Hours, an event immediately following the workshop that includes food, refreshments, a gallery tour and music.

Admission to the workshop is free. Although it is intended for students, anyone from the medical campus is also welcome to attend. Please RSVP to Hope Torrents at 305-284-8049 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
