Major Street Closure Will Disrupt Traffic in Front of University of Miami Hospital Friday
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3, all but a single eastbound lane of N.W. 14th Street fronting University of Miami Hospital will be closed to vehicular traffic to accommodate the installation of a helipad on the UMH roof. All medical campus employees who use that route are encouraged to take another route on Friday. Traffic flow is expected to return to normal by 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.
Both westbound lanes and the interior eastbound lane of N.W. 14th Street will close for one block, between N.W. 13th Avenue and N.W. 12th Avenue. Only the single outer eastbound lane of N.W. 14th Street will remain open to traffic.
No westbound traffic will be permitted to enter N.W. 14th Street, east of N.W. 12th Avenue, from 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3, until Sunday, May 5, at 6 p.m.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, both of the N.W. 14th Street entrances to the UMH parking garage will be accessible only to traffic heading eastbound on N.W. 14th Street. The parking garage entrance on N.W. 12th Avenue, from the ramp at UMH’s main entrance, will be unaffected by the closures.
