OB/GYN Enhances Patient Experience with Clinic Renovation

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology celebrated its newly renovated suite at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 17.

Located in Suite 507 of the Professional Arts Center, the clinic now offers diagnostic ultrasound services and obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine all in one place. The cheerful sky blue walls, dark wood furniture, hardwood floors, spacious waiting room and administrative space at the front of the clinic offer a welcoming environment where patients can easily check in and ask questions while waiting to see their doctor.

Department staff, faculty and leadership, including Steven Falcone, M.D., M.B.A., associate vice president for medical affairs and chief operating officer of the University of Miami Medical Group, and Ruth Srebrenik, vice chair for OB/GYN administration, were on hand for the event.

“Our No. 1 priority in renovating the space was to make things more comfortable and more effective for our patients,” said Srebrenik.

Srebrenik played a key role in leading renovation efforts, with the help of former department chair Leo B. Twiggs, M.D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology, and Ruben Quintero, M.D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology and director of the UM/Jackson Fetal Therapy Center.
