New Assistant Vice President Named for Planning and Analysis
Elaine Van der Put, Ph.D., has been named assistant vice president for planning and analysis for the Miller School and UHealth. Expanding on her prior responsibilities with the Office of Research, Dr. Van der Put will lead the medical center’s Office of Planning and Analysis (OPA), which provides a central support for departments, institutes and centers with consistent methodologies for clinical and research business planning and analysis, facilitates the development of multidisciplinary/multi-departmental programs and develops high-level faculty recruitment packages. OPA also will be developing market analytics capabilities to standardize data used for medical center decision support.
The OPA team includes Robert Chavez, MBA, formerly division administrator for pain management in the Department of Anesthesiology, and Sheela Dominguez, CRA, formerly manager of the Office of Recruitment at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Administrative support is provided by Ana Claudia Mazzini e Drigo.
