Miller School Students Prepare for 3rd Annual Cabaret March 8
The University of Miami family is cordially invited to the Miller School of Medicine’s 3rd Annual Cabaret, to be held Saturday, March 8, at 3 p.m. at the Manuel Artime Theater, 900 S.W. 1st Street, Miami. Started in 2012 by third-year M.D./M.P.H. student Rammy Assaf, the Cabaret is a performing and visual arts show that seeks to provide medical students and faculty with an opportunity to reconnect with passions outside the field of medicine and demonstrate their talents in the artistic realm. For the audience, it promises to be a very entertaining event.
This year’s acts include a capella group “Doctor’s Note;” hip-hop group BPM (Beats per Minute); a tango dance performance by Robert Warren, Ph.D., associate professor of cell biology; Bollywood Beats; a musical performance by Stephanie J. Sacharow, M.D., assistant professor in the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics; a salsa dance performance and much more.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Children’s Home Society of Florida. Tickets will be sold in the Rosenstiel Medical Sciences Building student lounge on the second floor starting Monday, March 3, and are $10 pre-sale, $12 at the door.
