Final Instructions for the 2014 Corporate Run/Walk

If you have registered for the 2014 Corporate Run/Walk, your race packet is now ready for pick-up at the front counter of the UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center, on the ninth floor of the Clinical Research Building. Pick-up hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., except for the day of the race, Thursday, April 24, when the hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Your team leader can provide pick-up instructions; if you do not have a designated team leader, you may come in person. Please bring a photo I.D.

Participants who are unable to pick up their packet can designate a proxy by sending an email to UM Team Captain Edyna Garcia at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Please include the following information in the email: your full name, your C# and your proxy’s full name.

In addition to wearing your Team UM shirt to show your ’Canes pride, remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the race. Race numbers must be clearly visible on the front of your torso during the race, displayed in full view, and may not be folded or cut in any way. Optional items to consider bringing include towels, bug spray and a camera. Pack as lightly as you can; you may leave personal belongings at the Team UM tent at your own risk.

The Team UM theme is a Stronger U, so be creative, and dress up as the strongest version of yourself! Employees and their guests are encouraged to incorporate elements of their favorite superhero in what they wear. For inspiration please view our Corporate Run video:

This year, the U will be caring for all corporate walkers and runners with medical needs. The UHealth sports medicine team will be on duty in the first-aid tent, located at the finish line.

For more information visit, or contact Edyna Garcia at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Note: The official event hash tag is #TeamUM. Please be sure to incorporate it when posting anything on social media pertaining to the 2014 Corporate Run/Walk.
