PubMed Class
The Department of Health Informatics and the Louis Calder Memorial Library will host a PubMed class on Friday, January 11, from noon to 1 p.m. at Calder Library, third-floor electronic classroom.
PubMed provides access to MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine’s database of citations and abstracts in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, health care systems, and preclinical sciences. During the class, participants will learn to do a basic keyword search, apply filters and limits to streamline the search results, print, save and email citations, access full-text articles, and create a MyNCBI account. Participants also will learn how to find a citation with partial information using “Single Citation Matcher” and conduct an evidence-based search with “Clinical Queries.”
Advance registration is required online. For further information, please contact the Reference and Education Department at 305-243-6648 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
