Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Night at Marlins Park July 26
Come out to Marlins Park on Tuesday, July 26, and help support National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month. Watch a patient from UHealth’s South Florida Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic throw out the first pitch at 7:10 p.m., as the Miami Marlins, currently the second-place team in the National League East, take on the Philadelphia Phillies in the second game of a three-game series.
Cleft lip/palate is the second most commonly encountered congenital anomaly, affecting approximately 1 in 650 live births. The Clinic has treated patients born with the anomaly for more than half a century, with the vast majority receiving surgical management at Holtz Children’s Hospital. Thanks to the generosity of the Miami Marlins in providing tickets, a large contingent of patients and their families will attend the game. Please join us Tuesday night to cheer on both our patients and the Marlins. Your support is greatly appreciated.
