Calder Memorial Library Hosts National Library of Medicine’s Traveling Exhibit
The Louis Calder Memorial Library will host the National Library of Medicine’s traveling exhibit, Changing the Face of Medicine, through November 6.
The exhibit highlights the contributions of female physicians to the practice of medicine from Elizabeth Blackwell, M.D., the first female doctor in the United States, to Antonia Novella, M.D., the nation’s first female surgeon general. Calder Library invites you to come learn more about the lives and accomplishments of the many female physicians featured in this outstanding exhibit, including a special section on the contributions of University of Miami female physicians and researchers.
