MyUHealthChart Unites Technology and Excellence in Patient Care 05.04.2010

In just two weeks, UHealth will launch MyUHealthChart, a component of the UChart electronic medical records system that will allow patients of the University of Miami Health System to manage their health care from anywhere, at any time. MyUHealthChart.com will be launched in the first group of ambulatory clinics on Tuesday, May 18, giving patients access to portions of their medical records.

SunSmart 5K Run/Walk for Melanoma Awareness Draws Hundreds of People 05.03.2010

More than 200 participants turned out for the third annual SunSmart Sprint 5K Run/Walk for Melanoma Awareness on Saturday, May 1. Runners and walkers gathered at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne for the 7 a.m. race, which raised an estimated $8,000 for the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery to research and develop more treatment options for skin cancer patients.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center on Track to Receive $9.5 Million 05.03.2010

Four Faculty Members Inducted into Association of American Physicians 04.28.2010

Four University of Miami Miller School of Medicine physicians have been inducted into the prestigious Association of American Physicians (AAP), founded in 1885 for "the advancement of scientific and practical medicine." Induction is considered a great honor as members have included Nobel laureates and members of the National Academy of Science and the Institute of Medicine.

Turnout Growing for Annual Complementary Medicine Gathering 04.27.2010

For the third straight year the Miller School has sponsored and hosted the Integrative Medicine Symposium, which took place April 23-24 at the Medical Wellness Center. UM Pathologist Wins Annual VA Research Award 04.23.2010

Michael D. Norenberg, M.D., professor of pathology and biochemistry and molecular biology at the Miller School of Medicine and staff neuropathologist at the Miami VA Medical Center, has received the William S. Middleton Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Established 50 years ago, the Middleton Award is the highest honor presented annually by the Research and Development Office of the VA.
