Angela Fuste Named Vice Chair for Administration of Department of Pediatrics
The Department of Pediatrics has named Angela Fuste, M.H.S.A., permanent Vice Chair for Administration. Fuste has served in the role of Interim Vice Chair since June 2014. Previously she was the service line leader for the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Fuste began her career at the Miller School of Medicine in 1999 as a Manager in Pediatrics, before advancing to roles of increasing responsibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and more recently returning to Pediatrics. She received a B.S. in microbiology from the University of Miami and an M.H.S.A. from FIU. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association and the Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics.
“Angela is a very smart administrator with ample fiscal and operations experience,” said Judy Schaechter, M.D., M.B.A., associate professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics. “She has earned the trust and respect of our faculty and staff. We are all delighted that she has accepted this leadership role.”
