The E.M. Papper Laboratory of Clinical Immunology offers state of the art assessments of immune function to the medical community. The laboratory serves as a clinical reference laboratory for physicians, and as a research core facility. It also offers clinical and research assays to clinical and basic science researchers, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, the laboratory has particular expertise in assays to evaluate lymphocyte and monocyte function, including proliferation, lymphocyte mediated cytotoxicity, apoptosis and soluble mediator production. Multi-color flow cytometry is used to determine the differentiation, activation and adhesion of molecules on blood cell surfaces, and for cytokines and other molecules within cells. Other assays are used to measure viruses, antibodies, cytokines, chemokines and other soluble markers in serum and plasma.

The E.M. Papper Laboratory is licensed by the State of Florida and is an approved Medicare and Medicaid provider, having meet all of the requirements of CLIA 88.
