HR Staff Policy Update Series
Human Resources has issued the Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) policy to serve as the framework for employees wishing to take a leave of absence for certain qualifying events under the FMLA. This policy provides staff with detailed information about their leave rights, the process for requesting FMLA leave and the process for returning to work. It also includes the development of new forms that will enable a thorough and timely assessment of FMLA leave requests. This, coupled with the designation of HR leave coordinators for each campus, will support and streamline the management of FMLA leave for all University staff.
